A delegation from Tashkent State Agrarian University (TDAU) paid a working visit to Isparta University of Applied Sciences (IUAS) within the framework of the Joint Master's Degree Programs (Dual-Degree) in Field Crops, Horticulture, Animal Science, and Plant Protection, which were signed between the two universities and approved by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) on 25 June 2026.

 

The TDAU delegation, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farrukh Yakubov, Dean of the Faculty of Joint Educational Programs, together with Prof. Dr. Boboqul To'xtayev, Prof. Dr. Egamyor Uyamov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. G'ulom Jumaboyev, and Lecturer Fozilbek Mardanov, held a series of meetings at the IUAS Rectorate, International Relations Office, Graduate Education Institute, and Faculty of Agriculture.

 

During the meetings, detailed discussions were held regarding the operational procedures of the international joint master's degree programs, which will begin admitting students in the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year. These joint degree programs aim to strengthen academic ties between Türkiye and Uzbekistan, promote student and academic staff mobility, and enhance the sharing of scientific knowledge through collaborative research projects.

 

Students graduating from these programs will be entitled to receive separate diplomas from both universities. The meetings were also attended by the heads of the relevant academic departments and representatives of the Faculties of Agriculture and Forestry. In addition to the existing cooperation, the participants exchanged views on the development of potential new joint degree programs for the future.

 

As part of the visit, the delegation also discussed the collaborative studies being carried out by TDAU researchers together with Ahmet Bircan Tınmaz, Coordinator of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at the Yalova Atatürk Central Horticultural Research Institute, and his team. In this context, evaluations were made regarding new research projects that could be implemented with the participation of IUAS faculty members specializing in this field.
