Transportation: Within the City and Beyond
Municipal buses form the backbone of Isparta's public transportation network, and fares remain highly affordable when using the HES card. Taxis are readily available, and the close proximity between the university campuses and the city centre makes walking a practical option for everyday life.
For intercity travel, Isparta Süleyman Demirel Airport offers both direct and connecting flights to numerous destinations, with flights to İstanbul taking approximately one hour. Regular coach services connect Isparta with Antalya, İzmir, Ankara, Konya, and many surrounding cities. Intercity bus fares generally range between TRY 400 and TRY 900, while minibuses serving nearby towns and districts provide an even more economical means of transportation.
The world-renowned tourism destination of Antalya is just a 1.5-hour drive away and is served by a major international airport with frequent domestic and international flights. In addition, the Ankara–Eskişehir–Isparta–Antalya high-speed rail line is expected to become operational in the near future, further enhancing the region's accessibility.
For students receiving Türkiye Scholarships (YTB), the nearest YTB Office is located in Ankara. In addition, a new YTB Office is planned to be established within Isparta University of Applied Sciences (IUAS) in Isparta by the end of the year.
